My Mission

As a therapist, I focus on centering and elevating the voices of those who have often been historically marginalized by society. This includes but is not limited to Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQIA+, low income, and immigrants/undocumented folx. You are the expert on your story; your tale deserves to be told, heard, honored, and respected. Through a collaborative therapeutic process, we will work together to explore your emotional landscapes, experiences, family and community dynamics, and the socio-economic systems that have impacted you. Simultaneously, we will collaborate to identify practices that support the adaptation and healing of trauma wounds. Together, we hold space for intentional change that grows and embodies the interconnected healing and liberation we long for.

My Process

As a person and therapist, I welcome and celebrate everything that comes with your identity, including who you are and hope to become. I will continue to work within my professional role and personal life to advocate for the mental health needs of historically marginalized communities. Therefore, I operate from a person-centered framework focused on healing, social justice, anti-oppression, and allyship.

Please contact me for a free consultation to see if we are a good fit! I look forward to traveling with you on your healing journey!

Let's work together

As a child, I always wanted to be a secret keeper. To hold the secrets of others and help them find the keys to unlocking their full potential. I hope to assist you as we work together to turn pain into power.

About Brittney Frankson

Hi, I’m Brittney Frankson, MA, LPCC.

Colorado- LPCC.0019562

NPI - 1396489662

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC). I am currently working toward my Ph.D. in the Counseling Psychology Ph.D. program at the University of Northern Colorado. I am also a graduate of the University of Denver, where I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

For the past three years, I have gained extensive experience providing mental health services in the Denver metro area. My work as a psychotherapist has occurred in various settings, including private practice, community mental health, adult outpatient treatment programs, and university psychological services clinics.

The diversity of these experiences has significantly impacted and informed my clinical approach. My clinical approach as a therapist is rooted in healing, social justice and is trauma-oppression-informed. I am committed to creating a space of unconditional acceptance and support by showing up to this space with authenticity, compassion, and empathy.

I engage in my work by being grounded in my identity as an immigrant Black Woman and view intersectionality as the foundation for therapeutic exploration and change. I offer tools and support to empower my clients by building resilience and improving their sense of safety, belonging, pride, community, and healing.

Let's work together on your journey.
